Commercial transportation is at an inflection point as we transition from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to Electric Vehicles (EVs). Myriad challenges remain. Merlin Solar has established itself as a leading renewable technology that works equally well on ICE & EV vehicles and will play a role in the seamless transition.
In ICE vehicles, Merlin Solar extends battery life, eliminates idling, powers liftgates, and enables smart trailers. In energy intensive operations such as powering truck refrigeration, Merlin plays a crucial role in maximizing the financial ROI, along with a material reduction in GHG emissions. Merlin and its partners have developed a rapid retrofit solution that results in converting ICE vehicles into pluggable Hybrid Electric Vehicles. This has resulted in a 70% reduction in fuel usage. In EVs our solutions focus on range extension – often the most vital parameter slowing down the adoption by fleets.
